Car-based multimodality

Comprehensive mobility solutions

Currently, there are more than 1 billion private cars worldwide and this number continues to grow annually. Based on this trend, Iomob believes that any realistic multimodal solution should include the use of private cars and car-based services. This means that users can be presented with a range of mobility services combinations to fit their needs and preferences. These solutions can combine their private car with other mobility modes, such as micromobility, public transport, or rail. In other instances, Iomob’s mobility marketplace can inform them about available charging stations for their EV vehicle or available parking spaces. Iomob’s open mobility marketplace is versatile and can accommodate numerous business models across industries.

Iomob has engaged with various industry sectors to develop multimodal journeys for car drivers.

electric-vehicles

Putting energy companies at the center of the transition to electric mobility.

We supercharge our clients’ digital assets and enable multimodal electric-powered journeys through their apps or websites. Our platform supports the use of electric vehicles by making it possible to combine EV taxis, EV carsharing and carpooling, and electric micromobility with any mobility mode desired by our clients, including rail and public transit.

Energy companies benefit from increased exposure and revenues by integrating their charging network in Iomob’s open mobility marketplace. Once the network is integrated, charging stations are available to the customers of all our other clients who want to make EV charging part of their mobility offer.

Empowering the shift from car ownership to access.

Iomob’s mobility platform can supercharge new or existing mobility apps developed by OEMs so that their car buyers can gain access to comprehensive mobility-on-demand services. Using Iomob’s platform, OEMs can also better serve those who do not own one of their vehicles but subscribe to their access programs, including carsharing and short-term leasing.  When these customers use access programs, they receive seamless access to parking, tolling, EV charging, and first and last-mile solutions.

OEMs who offer shared mobility services can gain increased exposure for their shared vehicle fleets via Iomob’s open mobility platform and other clients connected to it.

insurance-companies

Modernizing roadside assistance and car replacement programs for insurance companies.

With Iomob’s middleware solution, customers who experience a car breakdown can receive credit on a mobility wallet in the insurance company’s app. Customers can use this credit to book and pay for the mobility service of their choice so they can continue their journey to their final destination while their car is being towed away to a garage.

While the car is in the garage for repairs, insurers can give their customers credit on an in-app mobility wallet. Leveraging Iomob’s vast network of shared mobility services, insurance customers can choose and access any vehicle connected to Iomob as long as it is within their assigned budget. Alternatively, they can upgrade to a more expensive vehicle class and pay privately for the difference in cost.

Enabling multimodal mobility for highways and toll operators.

As cities and regions embrace road pricing, congestion zones, limited parking, and reduced access for passenger vehicles in urban areas, highway drivers will increasingly need access to alternative mobility services to complete their journey. These services can include parking options, combining park-and-ride with access to transit and rail, and last-mile solutions like micromobility and taxis. Iomob’s mobility-on-demand platform can supercharge new or existing highways and tolling apps to provide their customers with multimodal services that best fit their needs and preferences.
