Iomob Finalists in BTN’s Achievement in Sustainability Innovation

Iomob is thrilled to announce that our WheelCoin for Business solution has been selected as a finalist in the Achievement in Sustainability Innovation category for the BTN Group’s Inaugural Business Travel Sustainability Awards Europe! We are honored to have been recognized for our efforts in tackling one of the most significant contributors to a company’s carbon emissions – employee travel.

Travel emissions are a critical issue, with up to 50% of a company’s carbon emissions stemming from employee travel alone. Traditional data capture methods, such as surveys, are often insufficient, lacking in detail, and require manual processing, making them costly and time-consuming. At Iomob, we believe that in this digital age, we can do better, particularly as we work towards science-based targets and initiatives.

That’s why we created WheelCoin for Business, a free app that accurately measures commuting and business travel emissions, allowing companies to report on their travel emissions with ease and accuracy. As employees travel, the WheelCoin app automatically identifies the mode of transportation, distance traveled, and calculates the carbon emissions. This data can be quickly and easily imported into your carbon emissions reporting platform or accessed via our online dashboard.

But that’s not all. At Iomob, we believe that incentivizing employees to make greener travel choices is crucial in reducing carbon emissions. That’s why WheelCoin for Business not only captures emissions data but also encourages employees to choose more sustainable and active mobility options. Whenever an employee uses greener transportation options such as rail, public transport, walking, or cycling, they earn WheelCoin tokens. These tokens can then be redeemed for exclusive mobility offers from major and local mobility suppliers. Think of it as air miles, but better for the planet.
