Our participation in PERTE VEC Soluciones Digitales y Datos para una Movilidad Avanzada

 In Press Release

Over the coming months Smart Mobility Solutions SL, Iomob’s Spanish subsidiary, will represent the group in “PERTE VEC – Digital Solutions and Data for Advanced Mobility” (grant VEC-020100-2022-219), part of the national programme devoted to upgrading the software fabric of transport in Spain. This project will fund the development and improvement of our core technology, including the refinement of our journey planning algorithms in North America and Europe, adding real-time GTFS-RT ingestion so cancelled trains or late buses no longer break an itinerary, and improvements to our mobile SDK, including a revamping of maps and geocoding, and an offline mode that keeps tickets and QR codes live even when connectivity drops.

These developments, funded and validated under PERTE VEC, will flow straight back into the global Iomob platform: every rail operator, city app or mobility start-up we serve will benefit from faster routing, richer data and easier onboarding. Even more forward-looking, the project will let us pilot WheelCoin, a Celo-based token that rewards low-carbon trips, thus fusing tokenization and sustainability. By channelling European R&D support through our Spanish subsidiary, we are accelerating our roadmap, hardening the platform for large-scale deployments and laying the groundwork for incentive-driven, user-centred mobility.

Looking ahead, Iomob remains fully committed to co-creating the next horizon of friction-free journeys, leveraging synergies in the mobility ecosystems and unlocking exponential value at the intersection of data-driven insight, user-centric design and sustainable disruption—because together, we believe mobility can move the world forward, one seamlessly orchestrated kilometre at a time.

Iomob has been co-funded by the Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Turismo of the Government of Spain, and the European Union’s Next Generation EU funds.
